The first-ever Little Free Library was built by Todd Bol and modeled after a one-room schoolhouse in honor of his mother, who was teacher and lifelong reader. Now available in our easy-care, composite material, this library will last years with little to no maintenance required! The bell tower arrives unattached, but is easy to install with a drill, Square #2 or Phillips drill bit, and two provided lag screws.

All libraries come with a complimentary standard charter sign! ($49 value.) Each charter sign is printed with a unique charter number which is your key to setting up your steward account and placing your library on the Little Free Library world map on our new mobile app. Your charter sign will be in an envelope on the outside of your library shipping box. Shipping typically takes 5-7 business days via UPS Ground, or 10-12 business days if you select a custom charter sign. Your charter sign will be in an envelope on the outside of the shipping box.

You will receive a tracking email 2-3 business days after your order. Please allow a couple days for the tracking number to update as the shipping label for your library and charter sign will be on its way to Amish craftsmen in western Wisconsin.
